If you’re a tech-enabled team who needs to scale without overpaying for enterprise sales software, you’ve found the right sales tool.
New Feature
Activity Deep Links
Have you ever wanted to share a link to an email thread with a colleague, or link to a call in an email with your team? Now you can.
The date time field on each activity is now a link, which can be used to copy the URL to a single activity.
Clicking this link takes you to the Single Activity view, and changes the URL to make sharing simple.

April 2020 Roundup
While we launched our new Onboarding and Contact Custom Fields in April, that's not all we were doing.
Manually editing the "to" field in an email activity now properly updates the contact on that email (when expanding email template variables and filtering activities by contact).
Fixed a bug with our Zoom integration so that Zoom Web Client links are now correctly seen as Zoom meetings.
When editing an Opportunity, hitting cmd/ctrl-enter now submits the form as expected.
When transferring a call, transferrer info is no longer missing from the Call Bar.
Transferring a call to a Group Number no longer drops the call.
Fixed a bug that caused a small number of Exports to fail.
Fixed a bug that caused issues for imports that mapped a Contact Custom Field with a period in its name.
We now check if user has active SMTP when sending Bulk Email or Email Sequences.
We released new versions of the desktop app that: improved the spellchecking, adds taskbar highlighting on Windows when there are incoming calls, and allows users to open closeio:// links from within the Windows application.
Improvement
April Onboarding Improvements
Whether you're signing up for a new organization in Close or inviting a new user into your existing organization, the experience has been improved with our new Onboarding.
When you connect an email account, we now show Suggested Leads to get you up and running faster with your existing sales leads.
Connecting your GSuite account is faster than ever, but you can still connect any email account in a few clicks.
New Feature
Contact Custom Fields
Close has long offered the ability to customize the information you store on your leads, letting you store things like Company Size, Contract Renewal date, and Industry that help your sales team make more informed decisions. Close now offers you the same ability to customize the information you store on each Contact, as well.
Whether you want to track who the decision maker is in each Lead or add a Skype username, you can now add the custom fields that your team needs. Custom fields on Contacts support the same types of custom fields you're familiar with on Leads, including choices, date, user, and API only (useful for integrating with 3rd party systems).
Improvement
March 2020 Improvements
We had a busy March tackling issues big and small to make things run a bit more smoothly.
Tooltips got a cleanup and no longer get cutoff on the page.
Fixed an issue with Zaps running more than once for the same event in Close.
All of our select menus are now updated to use the same style.
The Opportunity edit view on the Lead page matches the experience on the Pipeline view (yay for consistency!).
Improved handling of imports on the Starter plan when users reach the Custom Field limit.
Integration
Zoom Integration
With the Zoom integration for Close, you can seamlessly capture and review Zoom cloud recordings from a lead page. After connecting your Calendar, get notified of upcoming Zoom meetings and join with one click. When the meeting is over, you can view and save Zoom Cloud recordings from the Meeting activity on the lead.
Improvement
Task Assignment Emails Now Show Your Timezone
When someone assigns you a task in Close, the notification email now displays the task's due time in your own timezone instead of in UTC.

Improvement
Inline Editing of Opportunities in Pipeline View
You can now edit opportunities inline, directly within the pipeline view itself, making updates easier and faster.
New Feature
Meeting Sync
Meeting Sync makes it simple to connect your Google Calendar and automatically track the meetings you have with leads, and it works just like email sync in Close today. Just go to Settings → Connected Accounts and enable Calendar Syncing for any of your Google accounts. Once a calendar is connected, any meetings you schedule will appear on the leads they're booked with. Changes to the calendar event will update the synced meetings automatically. You can also search for leads with Meetings scheduled, and when you're ready, you can report on the meetings you've had, too.
While you're using Close, you'll be reminded of upcoming meetings by the Reminder bar, which lets you jump into a call or to the lead with just a click.
New Feature
Multiple Pipelines
Your sales process probably involves a series of Pipeline stages like "Demo Given", "Proposal Sent", "Contract Sent" and then "Won" or "Lost". That works great for your sales team, but what happens when your Success team tries to capture their process? Doing it all with a single, mixed set of statuses can be difficult and lead to confusion.
With the launch of Multiple Pipelines, each team or process in your company can have its own Pipeline, with its own name and set of Opportunity Statuses. Whether it's your Sales team, Professional Services, or Growth, track deals across every stage of the process.
Improvement
Reverting Lead Update Imports
When we introduced lead update imports earlier this year, we didn't include the option to undo an import that updated Leads. With this release, you can now undo any import, whether it created Leads, updated them, or both.
New Feature
Pipeline View
Get a unified view of your sales pipeline with a drag-and-drop workflow, simple customization, and actionable revenue insights.
Improvement
Incoming Call Improvements
We've added a bundle of improvements to your incoming call experience in Close.
You can now ignore any incoming call. Ignoring a call doesn't send the caller straight to voicemail the way rejecting does, but you won't hear it ringing after you ignore it.
When you're on a call, Close will now play a different, less distracting ringtone for any incoming call.
When you're on a call, the ringing tone for an incoming call is delayed by 2 seconds.
Improvement
Summer Bug Squashing
Our team likes to fix the annoyances and irritations that bug our customers throughout the year. In the last couple of weeks, our team has been busy squashing some of those frustrating issues, including:
Showing you all of your email sequences when you have more than 100 — great work, that's a lot of sequences!
You can reply to an SMS from someone who isn't a lead yet in your Inbox — that's just a lead you haven't met yet.
Activity Overview report tiles now show graphs at the beginning of a time range even when displaying relative time ranges (like this week compared to last week).
Picking a new phone number? Countries are now sorted alphabetically in the selection menu.
Imports are now assigned to the user who performed them — no more mysteries about who imported the lead you're looking at.
Keyboard shortcuts now always apply to your active call (rather than an incoming call), and also now reliably work on Smart View and search result pages.
Easier ways to search for and report on bulk email and incoming calls.
... and over a dozen more fixes for the features you use every day. Some you may notice right away, and some you may never see at all, but we think it's important to share the little wins, along with the big ones.
New Feature
Starter Plan
The Starter Plan is a new plan for small teams looking to get off the ground with Close. Get access to all of the core features in Close like calling, two-way email sync, SMS, and reporting for up to three users.
To select the Starter Plan, simply go to the Plans page in your Close Settings or visit close.com/pricing to learn more.
Improvement
More Activity Comparison Column Control
With the latest improvements to the Activity Comparison table, you can now sort, reorder and remove columns by right clicking in the column header, where you see the metric name, like "Sent Emails".
Improvement
Filter Lead Activity by Multiple Users
Lead Activity can now be filtered by multiple users at once, as well as by contact or activity type. If you want to see activities from just one group, like your AEs, it's now as simple as selecting them from the filter menu.
Improvement
Bulk Edit Improvements for Multi-Select Custom Fields
Multi-Select Custom Fields now support three bulk edit operations, letting you choose whether to replace, add to, or selectively remove options from the field when updating in bulk. The maximum number of options per field and selections per lead have also been increased.
No more changing filters every time you want to look at your weekly sales activity, and then your monthly sales activity, and then your quarterly sales activity — you can now save your custom Activity Comparison & Overview Reports.
Your saved reports are private to you, so you can create as many reports as you need to get the insights you need into your sales activity. But when you need someone else on the team to see a report, sharing is just a click away.
When you share a saved report, the folks you share with will be able to follow along with any changes you make to the report. You don't have to save a report to share it, though. Every time you change a filter, metric, or sort, you can share the exact configuration you're currently looking at — perfect for sharing a surprising insight or asking a question about an exciting surge in new leads.
